receiving a monthly transfusion to combat sick-cell anemia, a heart by-pass
surgery patient, an accident victim who is hemorrhaging, a pre-mature infant,
or perhaps a cancer patient who needs platelets.
Only 3% of eligible Bay Area residents are currently donating blood. Because of
people who donate blood, more than 450 Bay Area residents are receiving
life-saving blood each day, 365 days a year. Please consider setting aside time
to be part of this life-saving work.
